The cemetery looks fantastic after the makeover it received last weekend. There's still work to be done, but I think the clean-up was a great success. One of the nicest things is that the trashcan blocking the entrance has been removed. I can't tell you how many times I've looked at that trashcan over the years and thought, "That has got to go."
Other improvements:
-Old leaves removed
-Grass cut
-Stones cleaned, put upright, and even excavated out of the dirt!
-Flowers planted
-Tree branches trimmed
Still to be done: the restoration of the broken and disintegrating stones, excavation of stones, pairing footstones with their proper headstones, etc.
